Gay-TV
I’m presently in negotiations
with Fox TV. I have a development deal with them for a dramatic special,
possibly for sweeps week. I call it "When Militant Lesbians Attack". Initially
I was going to focus on a certain someone who takes great pride and pleasure
verbally slapping me down, but the folks at Fox, though in love with the
concept (or at least the title), thought that good natured dissing probably
isn’t enough to hold viewer interest for a full hour, and certainly not
dramatic enough for their (in)famous "hype" commercials. In need of more
dramatic stuff, I turned to the web. |

Luckily I found a story concerning
Dary Byczek and his family, who are under "vicious attack from homosexuals".
According to his parish priest, "unless something is done, his family will
be destroyed".
Dary’s troubles began when
"several open lesbians" bought property adjoining his. Early relations
were cordial, but took a nasty turn when Dary made a good-natured comment
about his neighbor’s public (in their own backyard) displays of lewdness
(hugging and kissing). In reaction to his innocent comment the Militant
Lesbian Terrorist began a "campaign of harassment in an attempt to drive
him from his property". (Mortar fire? Land Mines? Petitions??)
"It was a systematicdenomization
[sic]
of a man who didn’t agree with the life they were leading openly as lesbians.
And in fact when I say openly, these people have fondled each other… in
front of children. So because this man didn’t agree and didn’t go along
with the program, now they are trying to destroy him."
--Pastor Ralph Avadol
Doesn’t that paint a
great mental image? Can’t you just see Militant Lesbians in commando fatigues,
a machine guns in one hand, a machete in the other, stalking the elusive
Dary Byczek through the overgrown jungle of suburban Wisconsin?
Unfortunately for me, and
the fine folks at Fox, the story is nowhere near as dramatic as one might
imagine, (or in the case of my editor, fantasize). Good fences, it is said,
make good neighbors. Dary Byczek was not a good neighbor. His neighbor’s
alleged attempts to "destroy" him consisted solely of phoning the police
and reporting his actions against them. Mr. Byczek has been charged with
multiple cases of trespassing and possibly violating Wisconsin’s state
hate crime laws. As a result, Mr. Byczek faces a possible prison sentence.
What I find truly frightening
is that there are people like Mr. Byczek out there, who are unable or unwilling
to see that there are people around them who might not agree with their
own limited world view. When the inevitable is thrust upon them, they behave
badly.
So here gentle reader, we
have the human drama in all it’s glory. No one ever sees the evil in his
or her own actions, and I’m sure Mr. Byczek sees himself as a victim, though
the fact remains he brought this on himself. No one is requiring him, or
anyone else, to sanction behavior they personally cannot condone. But a
civilized society does require civilized behavior.
Now all that remains is for
me is to put the proper spin on the scenario so I can sell it to Fox.
